Education is the main resource of all round development of an individual.
Only educated persons can give real pace to the economic progress of the nation. On the basis of the recommendations of the Seidler Commission 1917, university education was separated from education up to the secondary level. Secondary Education Act 1921 has been published and made effective for the arrangement of Secondary level education.
School Grading and Monitoring System implemented by department of secondary education, UP to evaluate various school in a common scale so that information related to quality of education and area of improvement can be find out through this online system and this data can be used for further analysis and planning.
School grading and monitoring system capture input related to various parameters of academic and non-academic activities and calculate Grading of school on the basis of their performance in these vast parameters.

Government schools, under Secondary Education Department play very important role in providing quality education to students of Uttar Pradesh. At present, 2295 schools are operational, out of them some are very old and their building is dilapidated, while some are not having proper physical infrastructure and facilities due to insufficient budget. In the view of above Project ALANKAAR is introduced by UP Government for reconstruction of dilapidated school buildings, extension, electrification and other works with quality in transparent manner.
Project ALANKAAR will include all Government schools under Secondary Education Department and execute the scheme with defined processes and instructions given through various Government Orders.
